Probation department honors staff at seventh annual awards celebration; recognizing good work and accomplishments

SOLANO COUNTY - The Solano County Probation Department hosted its seventh Annual Awards celebration on September 11, 2024, at the Solano County Events Center, recognizing staff for their good work and accomplishments over the year.

The awards are given in five categories and award nominees and winners are selected by Probation department staff. Chief Probation Officer Dean Farrah also bestows a "Chief's Award" to recognize an employee who goes above and beyond to assist staff, clients, and department operations.

The Probation Department award winners for 2024 are:
n Manager of the Year: Earl Montilla, Supervising Deputy Probation Officer
n Deputy Probation Officer of the Year: Gerardo Garcia-Flores, Senior Deputy Probation Officer
n Juvenile Correctional Counselor of the Year: Janelle Grace, Senior Juvenile Correctional Counselor
n Administrative Services Employee of the Year: Melissa Collins, Accounting Clerk II
n Collaborative Partner of the Year: Cate Waters, Five Keys Independent Studies Teacher
n Chief's Award: Clive Lui, Deputy Probation Officer
