We're excited to announce that subgrant programs for the Digital Access for All Idahoans Plan will open soon. We have three different grant opportunities to expand digital access in your community! Applicants can apply to multiple programs. See below for information specific to each program.
*The Tech Refresh program is only open to public and tribal libraries at this time.
Here are some helpful things to keep in mind as you prepare to apply:
The Digital Access for All Idahoans Monetary Subgrant provides $10,000 to $150,000 for eligible entities to do digital access work. Suggested subgrant activities include hiring digital navigators to provide local and regional in-person support, creating and hosting digital skills and cybersecurity training opportunities, and providing technical support and low-cost devices.
Connecting Communities Digital Access Program provides Windows devices and accessories to eligible entities. Grantees train Idahoans on cybersecurity and digital skills, and Idahoans who complete the training keep the device.
The Tech Refresh program provides new computers to public and tribal libraries for in-library use or circulation. Libraries will choose from laptops or desktops to best suit their needs and provide their communities with digital skills and cybersecurity training.
The Digital Access for All Idahoans (DAAI) Plan supports all Idahoans in thriving online. It provides resources and opportunities to help connect with information and communication technologies. These programs are brought to you by the Idaho Commission for Libraries and were made possible by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration's State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program.
