Declaration of State of Emergency - Tropical Storm Milton

Pursuant to Chapter 252, Florida Statues, and Section 1.01 of the Charter of the City of Hollywood, I, Josh Levy, Mayor of the City of Hollywood, designated as a City Official empowered to declare that a State of Emergency exists within the boundaries of the City of Hollywood, do hereby invoke the emergency powers conferred in Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, along with any other applicable Rules and Statues..

Pursuant to the aforementioned statues, City Charter and Chapter 40 of the City of Hollywood Code of Ordinances, and in view of the imminent threat caused by Tropical Storm Milton, which is expected to intensify into a Hurricane, I do hereby declare a State of Emergency in the City of Hollywood, County of Broward, Florida effective at 5:00 p.m. on the 5th day of October, 2024. - JOSH LEVY, MAYOR CITY OF HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA
