Ward 1 Falcone / Brush Fire - Jurupa Valley / Market St and The Santa Ana River / RIV #24-037625 On Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:07 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm vegetation fire to the Santa Ana River at Market St X Santa Ana River to the rear of 1400 Salmon River Drive. A Cal-Fire response was also requested by the Battalion Chief. The City of Riverside Fire Department arrived on scene and initiated fire attack and perimeter control. A walk-up medical aid also ensued from a homeless male. The incident was transitioned over to Cal-Fire upon their arrival. The fire was in the unincorporated area of Riverside County in the river bottom between the City of Jurupa Valley and the City of Riverside. The fire was ΒΌ acre in light to heavy fuels with no threat to the residential neighborhood. A total of 14 firefighters and one chief officer responded to the incident.
