CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 3, 2024) - Community Organizations Active in a Disaster (COAD) urgently needs volunteers to assist with disaster relief efforts on Friday, Oct. 4.

Volunteers should report to the Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) at 8:30 a.m. at the Family Services Center, 21500 Gibraltar Drive, Port Charlotte.

Volunteers will assess community needs and distribute important information about available resources.

Volunteers should come prepared:

  • Wear closed-toed shoes
  • Bring sun protection hats and sunscreen
  • Bring water to stay hydrated
