Volusia County's pre-filled sandbag site at the Volusia County Branch Jail, 1300 Red John Drive, Daytona Beach, closed at 1 p.m. today. Vehicles in line prior to 1 p.m. will still receive sandbags, however, those that arrived after 1 p.m. are advised to visit Volusia County's self-service sandbag distribution sites from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:
Residents may receive 10 sandbags and must bring their own shovels. They are also advised to avoid blocking the fire station bays to ensure emergency personnel can respond to calls without delay. All County-operated sandbag sites are open to residents from both incorporated cities and unincorporated areas of Volusia County upon proof of residency. A complete list of sandbag locations, including those managed by municipalities, is available on the Volusia Emergency Management app.
