Brief Description of Proposed Project:
Alaska State Parks is applying to replace all the old gas powered grounds keeping power equipment with battery operated modern rechargeable sustainable equipment. This equipment will be used to maintain and upkeep the Sitka area state parks, trails and facilities, while decreasing the carbon footprint by limiting fossil fuel use, expensive combustible engine repair costs and noise reduction in the parks while work is occurring. Grant will include equipment replacement purchases such as - Brush cutters/weed whackers, mowers, leaf blowers, battery packs, chargers, etc..
