Round 2 SCAC Men's Golf Preview

Under a clear and incredible sky on Tuesday afternoon in Whitney, Texas, the UST-Houston men's golf team entered day two of the 2024 SCAC Preview at the White Bluff Resort New Course in 3rd place. By the time the day finished, the Celts were right where they started, 3rd place. Preview leader Trinity University shot 12 strokes worse than they did in the first round, but neither 2nd place Southwestern University nor St. Thomas were able to make up much ground as both shot nine strokes higher than day one.

After the 18-hole, second round, the Celts finished at +37, placing them in third place for the SCAC preview. Trinity led the tournament and secured the win with a +20.

Final Results:

St. Thomas newcomer Antonio Ramirez led the charge, finishing the two-day competition with a score of 147, three over, and tied for 4th individually for the tournament. Teammate Issac Voisinet also had an impressive debut, shooting a 153 to finish the preview at +9. Super senior Cameron Curtis finished the tournament strong, climbing the leaderboard and finishing with an 11 over 155. Landon Chau completed the scoring to help secure the third-place finish.
