LAPD Announces Arrest in Attempted Murder of MTA Driver NR24334dm

East Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Area detectives announce the arrest of an attempt murder suspect.

On November 16, 2024, LAPD Northeast Area Patrol officers responded to a shooting that involved an MTA driver, on a break and outside her bus. When officers arrived, they found a 56-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. The female was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics to a local hospital and after surgery was listed in critical but stable condition.

An immediate search was initiated for the suspect and it was determined he had immediately fled the state. LAPD Gang and Narcotics Division United States Marshals Apprehension Task Force assisted Northeast Detectives and ultimately took him into custody on December 12, 2024, in the city of Escondido, shortly after he returned to southern California.

The suspect in the incident has been identified as 45-year-old Holt, Dorian, who provided a Los Angeles address. He has been booked for 664/187(a) PC - Attempt Murder, Booking Number 6934691, bail $1,000,000.
