- Call on Congress to Tag Popular Measure to Must-Pass Legislation

TAB is pulling out all the stops to ensure the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act is signed into law this year by encouraging Congress to attach the enormously popular legislation to one of several major spending bills that must pass by year-end.

With 267 co-sponsors in the House and a filibuster-proof 63 in the Senate, the measure co-authored by Sen. Ted Cruz has sped through the Congressional review process in near record time as lawmakers, emergency management officials, tens of millions of listeners and hundreds of broadcasters have jumped into action to ensure the lifesaving Radio service continues to be available in American vehicles.

Texas Radio broadcasters are encouraged to contact the 20 Texans in the U.S. House who are co-sponsoring the measure to encourage leadership to attach the measure to a year-end spending bill, as well as redouble on-air efforts to encourage listeners to do the same.

With Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays looming, very few days remain in the Congressional schedule as lawmakers scurry to wrap up the outgoing administration's work and prep for a new White House.
