Dionach, a leading cybersecurity consultancy, has signed a contract extension with the UK space agency to help SMEs within the Space Sector improve their cyber security practices and achieve Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

This follows the successful launch of the programme in February 2024 which has supported companies towards successfully achieving Cyber Essentials Plus. The contract aims to double the number of Space SME's achieving Cyber Essentials Plus by May 2025.

The programme aims to build a space sector which is more resilient to cyber-attack, ensuring companies understand the risks and are putting steps in place to mitigate these. The UKSA's increased investment in the programme underscores their recognition of the importance of maintaining robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

The contract extension reflects the program's success in strengthening cybersecurity measures within the space industry. Through this partnership, Dionach will continue to provide comprehensive consultancy services to assess and enhance the cybersecurity effectiveness of IT systems in selected UK SMEs operating within the space sector.

Dionach's services include thorough assessments, evaluations, and tailored improvement recommendations aimed at helping companies achieve compliance with the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. This initiative ensures that Space companies will meet the necessary cybersecurity standards thereby strengthening their overall security posture at a basic level.

Dionach's expertise is supporting the UK Space Agency's cyber security aims of building a more cyber resilient space community and proactively shaping the international environment.
