Defence Secretary graces 'Sirima Miyurasi - 2024'

Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne graced the "Sirima Miyurasi - 2024" concert as the chief guest. The event, presented by the students of Sirimavo Bandaranaike College, Colombo was held on Thursday (Sep 19) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

The concert was held to raise funds to purchase smart boards for the school. 'Sirima Miyurasi - 2024' featured performances by students pursuing aesthetic subjects.

While taking the stage as the Chief Guest, General Gunaratne praised the school's outstanding efforts to create an intelligent and disciplined generation of women for the nation while recognizing the aesthetic abilities of the children.

The Principal, members of the academic staff, past pupils and a large number of parents were present at the occasion.
