Motorcycle rider seriously injured after crash with truck - Windsor

A motorcycle rider has been seriously injured following a crash with a truck in Sydney's north west.

About 3.40pm today (Sunday 22 September 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and truck at the intersection of Hawkesbury Valley Way and Cox Street, Windsor.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider - a 18-year-old man - at the scene before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The 45-year-old truck driver was uninjured and has been taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command have established a crime scene are awaiting the arrival of specialist police.

The area is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
