ICANN Seeks Input on Draft PTI Strategic Plan Covering 2025 to 2030

ICANN is publishing a draft document for input on Public Technical Identifier's (PTI) 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. This document is entitled "IANA 2030," and ICANN seeks community review and input prior to finalization and adoption by the PTI Board of Directors. The plan defines PTI's strategy in delivering the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions and represents a subset of the ICANN org's strategy. The PTI Board has developed this draft with IANA staff, customers, community stakeholders, and the broader ICANN org.

As the coordinator of the Internet's unique identifiers and authoritative recordkeeper, IANA must meet community needs in a landscape of emerging Internet technologies and evolving Internet governance models. Using feedback gathered from ICANN81 in Istanbul, IANA was able to complete this draft document for public comment.

This proceeding will be open for 64 days. For more information and to participate in this proceeding, please visit this webpage.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address - a name or a number - into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
