On August 7, 2024, at approximately 7:06 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received an unknown call for service in the 6400 block of Caddy Point. Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel located a deceased female with at least one stab wound.
On August 12, 2024, the El Paso County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy of the deceased and identified the deceased female as 54-year-old Haleh Abghari. While the coroner's office will determine the cause and manner of death, this is being investigated as a homicide. This was the 26th homicide in Colorado Springs. At this time last year, there were 18 homicides.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of 53-year-old Ceasar Lorenzo Wilson. Mr. Wilson has not yet been located by investigators, and an arrest warrant has been issued for himfor Murder in the 2nd Degree for the murder of Ms. Abghari. CSPD is seeking community assistance in locating Mr. Wilson. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him.
