Experts Discussed Aspects of Formation of Legal Culture, Spiritual and Patriotic Education of Young People

A meeting of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Science and Education took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace. The participants of the meeting considered the issues of formation of legal culture and spiritual and patriotic education of youth.

Opening the meeting, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy said that Rector of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Chair of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Rudskoy was again approved as the Chair of the Advisory Board.

One of the issues on the agenda was the discussion of the draft Model Law on Artificial Intelligence Technologies.

The experts were presented with the draft Recommendations on Normative-Legal Regulation of the System of Development and Support of Young Talents for the CIS countries. The developers propose to create a unified digital platform for the involvement, association and support of talented young people of the Commonwealth.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat - Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket told about the activities aimed at improving the legal culture of youth.

Deputy Chair of the Advisory Board, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Jamila Nurmanbetova told about modern approaches to the organization of lifelong learning in Kazakhstan.

Head of Department of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh Apparatus of the Kyrgyz Republic on Social Policy Maria Isanova presented information about the spiritual and patriotic education of young people in Kyrgyzstan, as well as problems and solutions at the state level.

Ivan Mushkettold the Council members about the results of the International Olympiad in Humanities and Social Sciences among schoolchildren from CIS countries. In 2023 and 2024, 1668 participants took part in it.

Executive Secretary of the Expert Advisory Board, Head of the Model Law-making Department Tatyana Baranova announced to the participants of the meeting the holding of the International Scientific and Educational Congress.

The event will be held in the fall of 2025 in St. Petersburg. The Congress can become an open discussion platform for discussion and dissemination of best practices in science and education to improve the competitiveness of the CIS economies.
