GDOT crews to replace the bridge at State Route 16/ Newnan Road over Flint River
New Traffic Shift begins November 4

Spalding County: The Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) informs Spalding County drivers of a scheduled project for November 4th. DOT contractors have successfully replaced the bridge on SR 16/Newnan Road. The contractors are currently in the second stage of construction, aiming to finish the project soon. To minimize inconvenience, the new bridge is set to open by redirecting traffic on November 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

Additionally, Portable Changeable Message Signs have been strategically located on-site to communicate the shift to the public, displaying the message "NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN 11/04


When: Starting NOVEMBER 4TH at 10 am

Where: State Route 16/ Newnan Road
over Flint River, Spalding County, Georgia
