Intersection Control Changeat State Route 36 and High Falls Road, Effective November 13, 2024

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will implement a modification to traffic regulations at the intersection of State Route 36 and High Falls Road, commencing on November 13, 2024. An all-way stop will be established at this intersection to enhance safety for all road users.
GDOT has performed a safety screening and consulted with local officials to ascertain the necessity of safety improvements at this intersection. The evaluation indicated that the implementation of an all-way stop represents the most effective immediate solution at this juncture.
Furthermore, the State Traffic Operations Office is currently engaged in the assessment of potential long-term improvements as a further enhancement to traffic safety in the area.
