Vancouver Police investigate shooting at Vancouver Mall

On October 31, 2024, at around 7:30 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to the report of a shooting at the Vancouver Mall (8700 NE Vancouver Mall Drive). Witnesses reported that a a person in the food court area shot another individual and fired other rounds that struck two other individuals. When police arrived, they located one person deceased and two other people who were injured who were transferred to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment of their injuries.

Employees and patrons sheltered in place and there have not been any additional reported injuries at this time.

Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crime Team are reviewing videos from inside the mall in an attempt to identify the suspect.

Police are currently clearing the mall and contacting anyone still inside. The reunification area for anyone separated during the incident will be outside the Hobby Lobby.
