"BEING BLUE" CAN BE A GOOD THING!

In addition to the street number that should appear on mailboxes for mail delivery, you may also have noticed the blue metal signs at the end of driveways that carry the street number too. If you have a sign like this, you of course know their purpose. If you don't have one, you definitely should consider ordering one immediately. These blue signs are the reflective ones that help emergency vehicles find YOUR home in the event of a fire, medical or other emergency. They are BLUE for a reason- because that is the color that responders have found to be the most reflective and easily sighted at night. And in our rural neighborhoods, finding the right house ASAP is of utmost priority. These signs are available from The Rockville Volunteer Firefighters Association and can be ordered by calling Captain Donnie Chapman, (706-816-9257).

The cost is $30 in advance - (which is cheaper than ordering them online) - and any profit made after materials are paid for goes to the Rockville Volunteer Firefighters Association and is used to supplement funding for our fire departments.
