Muskogee Resident Pleads Guilty To Federal Drug Charge

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA - The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Catherine Victoria Rogers, age 51, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty to one count of Acquiring a Controlled Substance by Misrepresentation, Fraud, Forgery, and Deception.

The Indictment alleged that beginning on or about August 1, 2023, and continuing until on or about November 14, 2023, Rogers knowingly and intentionally obtained Hydrocodone, a Schedule II controlled substance, by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, and deception.

The charge arose from an investigation by the Department of Veterans Affairs' Office of the Inspector General.

According to investigators, Rogers was a nurse at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee. Without permission or authority, Rogers took approximately 132 hydrocodone pills from the medical center's medication storage and distribution system.

The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.
