FASEB Urges Congress to Finalize Funding for Medical Research

As legislators returned from their summer break, FASEB sent a letter urging Congress to work together in a bipartisan manner to finalize fiscal year 2025 funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The letter expressed concern that without swift action, NIH will be left operating under a temporary budget that will significantly harm its ability to fund new research grants, initiate planned clinical trials, expand career opportunities for young investigators and trainees, and take advantage of critical new opportunities to advance biomedical research.
