Law ratifying Russia-Kuwait agreement on transfer of sentenced persons

The Agreement was signed in St Petersburg on June 28, 2024.

Under the Agreement, Russia and Kuwait shall provide each other with the widest possible assistance in the ​​transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment.

In addition, it is established that a person sentenced to imprisonment in the territory of one of the Parties may be transferred to the territory of the other Party to serve the sentence imposed. For this purpose, a person or his legal representative may apply to both the sentencing state and the administering state for the transfer of a person. A transfer request can be sent by both the sentencing state and the administering state.
