Gulf Islands National Seashore closes Fort Pickens in preparation for inclement weather Nov. 18

GULF BREEZE, Fla. - Gulf Islands National Seashore will close the Fort Pickens Area on November 18 at 4 p.m. for incoming inclement weather.

Campers at the Fort Pickens Campground will need to evacuate by 4 p.m. The rest of the Florida District Areas will remain open for day use.

The Fort Pickens Area is closed until further notice. Park staff will assess conditions on November 21. For more information, please follow the park's social media accounts and website.
