Southbound Lane Closure (State Street) and Roundabout Opening (12th/Main)

Beginning on Monday, October 7, 2024, the contractor will continue the Main Street Reconstruction Project. As part of this project, work on the northern side of the State Street and Waterloo Road intersection must be completed after the earthwork and utility contractor finishes their work at the southern limits of the project (near 17^th and Main Street). In order for the contractor to open the roundabout at the intersection of Main Street and 12^th Street, a southbound lane closure on State Street (from 11^th Street to Waterloo Road) will be required. This closure will prevent hazardous turning movements onto Waterloo Road prior to the reconstruction of the State Street/Waterloo Road intersection.

The lane closure will be in effect for approximately three (3) weeks, depending on the weather. Below you will find a map with the closure area highlighted.

As the earthwork and utility contractor gets closer to moving back up to complete the planned reconstruction work at this intersection, a full block closure of State Street (between 11^th Street and Waterloo Road) will be enforced to allow the contractor to complete their work.
