OPD Seeks Help in a July 2024 Homicide

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is asking for the community's help in solving the homicide of 24-year-old Juliette (Ju-Let) Harris, who also went by the nickname "Jewels."

Harris was fatally shot just after 2:00 a.m. on July 25, 2024, in the 2000 block of International Boulevard.

OPD's Homicide Section is releasing these photos of a vehicle of interest in connection with this case. The vehicle is described as a white, four-door Toyota Corolla with a spoiler, tinted windows, and missing hubcaps on the rear driver's and front passenger's sides.

Background:

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred just after 2:00 a.m. on July 25, 2024, in the 2000 block of International Boulevard.

Officers in the area were notified of a female lying in the street. When officers located the victim, they performed life-saving measures until paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
