Fall 2024 Peanut Butter Challenge:

The Peanut Butter Challenge is an annual competition between 44 County Extension offices, the University of Florida, and Florida A&M University. For last year's challenge, 27,769 lbs (19,350 jars) were collected statewide. This challenge began in 2012 in the panhandle, where peanuts are a major agricultural product (Santa Rosa produced 74.6 million lbs in 2022). The collected jars are donated to local food pantries to help our families in the county. Santa Rosa is the 4-year reigning champion for this event, and we'd like to continue that trend this year.
