Two Authors from Eastern Europe Read Their Work

The Russian and East European Studies Program, Department of History, and the Slavic Club are presenting a literary reading featuring two authors from Eastern Europe. The event will take place at 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Fahy Hall 236. It is free and open to the public.

Marek Kulig immigrated to the USA from Poland in 1992. A former basketball player and high school English teacher and current salesman, he spends his free time writing poetry and fiction. Maxim Matusevich

Maxim Matusevich is professor of history and department chair at Seton Hall University. A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, he came to the United States in 1991. Maxim has published extensively as a historian of Africa and the Cold War. He also writes and publishes fiction and nonfiction. His short stories, novellas, and essays appeared in Kenyon Review, New England Review, San Antonio Review, Rivanna Review, BigCityLit, and many other outlets.
