Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:
Hit Shooting - 5300 block of Atlantic Avenue - On Nov. 5, 2024 at approximately 9:03 p.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Atlantic Avenue regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located evidence, indicating a shooting had occurred. The preliminary investigation indicates a male subject was walking on the sidewalk when an unknown subject discharged a firearm in his direction, striking him. The male subject then brandished a firearm and discharged it in the direction of the unknown subject. Both the unknown subject and male subject fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. A short time later, the male subject self-transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the upper body. The male subject was uncooperative in providing details of the incident, however officers determined he was part of the incident that occurred earlier. No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
