Interest in Digital Assets and the application of blockchain in FS has been growing for some time and recent developments include the creation of regulatory regimes for cryptocurrency, work by the Law Commission to create a new class of property covering digital assets as well as the uses of tokenisation for securities to aid trading and prevent fraud in payments.
In order to help members shape this exciting area, techUK are convening a working group focused on the landscape surrounding the adoption frameworks and regulatory perimeter of a broad range of digital assets, which will be chaired by Matt Green of law firm Lawrence Stephens. Matt is a litigator and has been involved in the setting of case law in this area and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise which he's keen to put to use for the benefit of fellow techUK members.

The techUK Financial Services programme connects tech firms, the FS industry, and regulators to ensure innovation and technology can be fully embraced. Through market engagement activities and events, we help to empower decision makers and aid collaboration.
With a new government putting clean energy and green technologies at the front of the agenda, this conference will look at how policy and regulation can support tech firms in delivering net zero elsewhere, as well as help firms understand what a new government means for their own net zero journey.
