Hexcel is exploring to divest operations in Austria

In Neumarkt, Austria, Hexcel Composites and its predecessors have produced high-quality composite materials for the global industrial market since 1947. The company is a major producer of glass and carbon fiber-reinforced epoxy prepregs, glass fiber/epoxy laminates and polyurethane formulations. Besides wind energy and marine, winter sports and automotive are also important businesses for the site.

Hexcel Corporation, the parent company, intends to refocus its industrial business around preferred carbon fiber applications that align with its core competencies. Therefore, Hexcel is exploring strategic options for its operations in Austria and is currently in a process to find a suitable successor for the Neumarkt plant. Until that process is completed, Hexcel cannot comment further.
