The Classical Concert Series is back, offering a rare chance to witness a fully staged production of Gaetano Donizetti's beloved opera L'elisir d'amore.

Join us at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. for an enchanting evening of romantic comedy. This is a unique opportunity to experience a fully-staged production of Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore often known as The Elixir of Love, performed by MidAtlantic Artistic Productions, the Seton Hall University Chamber Choir and the Light Opera of New Jersey Chamber Orchestra. It's a night you won't want to miss!

This modern and colorful take on the opera promises to be an enchanting experience. The unique interpretation, the use of saturated colors and rose-infused patterns will visually empower Donizetti's delightful music, bringing the eccentric characters to life.

Students from the Seton Hall Choirs, representing all disciplines across the campus, play crucial roles in these productions. This presents a unique opportunity for experiential learning immersion at the highest level of artistry, and your support is invaluable.

"Through involvement in this multi-dimensional creative process, our students perform alongside the brightest young vocal talent and learn from the best creative and musical professionals in the industry," said Associate Professor of Music Dena Levine.

Founded through the philanthropy of Angelo A. Rancatti Jr. '63/'68, this annual joint concert is co-sponsored by the Seton Hall Classical Concert Series and the Charles and Joan Alberto Italian Studies Institute. The collaboration began with the mission to program music with an Italian theme and quickly assumed the profile of yearly opera presentations. This decade-old partnership brings together a diverse community of opera lovers and cultural enthusiasts.

Tickets are $5 in advance of the performance or free the evening of the concert. Reservations can be made through the SOPAC box office at (973) 313-2787 or their website.
