National Compliance Week is next week, November 4-8. It's a great chance for University of Alaska employees to boost their awareness of institutional compliance. This week highlights the core principles of compliance, ethical conduct, and related risk mitigation strategies.
We encourage all employees to use this time to better understand their individual compliance responsibilities. This includes having conversations with supervisors to clarify the specific compliance expectations of your role, consider efficient strategies for maintaining compliance, and identifying applicable laws, Board of Regents policies, university regulations, and role-specific training.

UA's commitment to compliance goes beyond avoiding violations. Our proactive efforts reduce risks and foster a culture of continual improvement in compliance and ethics.
Remember, if you ever come across something that seems suspicious or out of place, talk to your supervisor, or, in the case of a potential crime, contact law enforcement. If you're uncomfortable reporting through your reporting line, you can always use the confidential and anonymous UA Confidential Hotline.
