Saint Francis University School of Health Sciences and Education Students Dive into Shoulder, Elbow, Forearm, Wrist,

and Hand Dissection

On October 28 and 29, the Master of Occupational Therapy Department, located in St. Margaret Hall, hosted its 4th Annual Interprofessional & Interactive Gross Dissection Laboratory experience with its largest audience to date. The two-day cadaver workshop accommodated over 30 healthcare professionals from many disciplines across the region and over 50 students from the Saint Francis University Master of Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and pre-med/biology programs, fostering a collaborative and dynamic learning environment.

Under the expert guidance of Dr. Christopher Lincoski and Dr. Scott Eisenhuth-both board-certified, fellowship-trained hand surgeons from University Orthopedics Center-participants gained in-depth insights through live dissection and interactive discussions. This experience provided a rare opportunity to explore the complex anatomy of the upper extremity, enhancing clinical skills, igniting passion for the healthcare field, and building confidence alongside experienced professionals and fellow students.

This unique interprofessional experience encouraged open dialogue and hands-on learning, helping healthcare professionals and students connect anatomy with real-world clinical applications that will be invaluable in their healthcare careers.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Lincoski, Dr. Eisenhuth, and all who helped make this experience possible. We are especially grateful to Endo Pharmaceuticals for sponsoring this inspiring event.
