Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi will head a delegation to the Egyptian capital Cairo on Tuesday evening to participate in the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation's Foreign Ministers' meeting, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced.
Esmaeil Baqaei stated that the Council of Foreign Ministers of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, which includes Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nigeria, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, will convene on Wednesday, a day before the summit, to finalize the summit's concluding documents.
The spokesperson added that the 11th summit meeting of the eight developing countries will be held on Thursday with the attendance of the presidents of the eight member countries, including Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.
The main theme of this summit is "Investing in Youth and Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises, Shaping Tomorrow's Economy."
Highlighting the importance of utilizing every multilateral gathering to address regional issues, Baqaei announced that a special session will be held among the eight country's leaders to discuss the situations in Palestine and Lebanon, scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
