Meeting between President Lula and US President Joe Biden

In regard to the bilateral meeting between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro on Nov. 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that they addressed bilateral and multilateral issues.

During the meeting, they discussed the adoption of the Partnership for Workers' Rights, launched in 2023, and announced a new Partnership for Energy Transition. President Biden welcomed the successful conclusion of Brazil's G20 presidency and thanked the invitation to visit the Brazilian Amazon, underscoring the United States' support for the Amazon Fund and the Brazilian COP30 presidency.

The conversation did not address specific situations in other countries.
