Dubuque Regional Airport to Celebrate Inaugural Denver Air Connection Flight to Chicago

The Dubuque Regional Airport will host a celebration of the inaugural Denver Air Connection flight from Dubuque to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago on Monday, Nov. 4, at 2:30 p.m. at the Captain Robert L. Martin Terminal, 10965 Aviation Drive.

The event is free and open to the public. The Denver Air Connection jet is expected to land in Dubuque from O'Hare at approximately 2:55 p.m. Its arrival will be followed by a short program featuring brief remarks from local officials and a ribbon cutting ceremony before its return flight departs for O'Hare.

A drawing for free airfare will also be held at the event. Two winners will each receive vouchers for round-trip airfare for two passengers from Dubuque to Chicago on Denver Air Connection. Entrants need not be present to win. To register, visit www.FlyDBQ.com/Giveaway.

The Dubuque Regional Airport announced in late August that it had secured a daily flight to and from O'Hare with Denver Air Connection. This represents the return of daily service to Chicago. Fights between Dubuque and O'Hare will operate on one of Denver Air Connection's 50-passenger Embraer ERJ-145 jets. The flight offers same-day connections to flights to more than 200 destinations.

Denver Air has interline ticketing and baggage transfer agreements with American and United Airlines. These agreements offer passengers the ability to book, connect, and check bags through to those major airlines' destinations worldwide with a single reservation.
