Frederick Police Conduct Crash Investigation

The Frederick Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating a serious injury crash.

On 10/4/2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of the Orchard Way and Apple Way for a vehicle crash with injury involving a motorcycle. For reasons still under investigation, a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle lost control and struck several vehicles.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The driver is currently listed in serious condition. No other injuries were reported. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. At the conclusion of the investigation, the report will be presented to the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office for any charges.
