Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Amanda Dory met with Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan Nagashima Akihisa today at the Pentagon to exchange views on regional security challenges and U.S.-Japan Alliance modernization. The officials highlighted bilateral progress on command and control, presence in Japan's Southwest Islands, defense technology and industry cooperation, and multilateral engagement. Acting Under Secretary Dory and Special Advisor Nagashima expressed mutual commitment to enhance and deepen the U.S.-Japan Alliance amid a dynamic security environment.
