Johnson County Election Office releases unofficial 2024 General Election results

The Johnson County Election Office has released unofficial election results from the Nov. 5, 2024, general election.

A total of 335,159 ballots were processed and counted, with 70.0% of registered voters casting ballots. To view the unofficial final election results, visit the Johnson County Election Office website.

"This was the third election conducted this year in Johnson County, including the Presidential Preference Primary and August Primary elections," said Election Commissioner Fred Sherman. "I am proud of our team and election volunteers for executing another safe, secure, and accurate election."

During the next several days, the Johnson County Election Office will be reviewing and verifying challenged and provisional ballots. The Board of County Canvassers, comprised of Johnson County Commissioners, will consider challenged and provisional ballots at the canvass at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15. It will take place at the Johnson County Election Office, 2101 E. Kansas City Roadin Olathe. Members of the media are welcome to attend.

The Election Office will provide additional updates on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday that will include mail ballots with a postmark on or before Election Day and hand count ballots not included on election night.

Official final results will not be released until after the completion of the canvass, which is scheduled to conclude on Monday, Nov. 18.
