The City of Tampa Department of Solid Waste will be revising services in preparation for Hurricane Milton.
The revised schedule is as follows:
Residential collection:
Commercial collection:
In a continued effort to support residents in the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Helene the City of Tampa is placing blue dumpster containers in the locations listed below to assist with collection of any remaining storm debris that may still at the curb. Disposal is free.
The containers will remain in place until Tuesday evening, October 8, 2024, or as long a safe weather conditions allow. These containers are offered as an additional disposal option and may be used free of charge to dispose of remaining vegetative and household storm debris items that may still be at the curb. Residents are encouraged to use the containers and urged to lend a hand with disposing of debris for the elderly or infirm in their community.
"I believe if we all chip in a little, we can get the remaining debris collected ahead of Hurricane Milton. Neighbor's helping neighbors is what makes our community great", said Larry Washington.
Residents are encouraged to download the Tampa Trash and Recycling app for real-time service updates. For additional information, contact the City of Tampa Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811.
NOTE: New Tampa residents are encouraged to contact Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management at (813) 272-5680 for storm debris collection schedules in their area.
