City Council Members serve as the voice of the residents, ensuring the concerns and needs of their constituents are represented in city decision-making. In addition to their legislative duties, council members sit on boards and committees at the local, state, and national levels, advocating for Cape Coral on issues that impact the city and its residents. Their role is vital in shaping policies, guiding city projects, and enhancing the quality of life for all who live and work in Cape Coral.

Cape Coral residents are encouraged to stay engaged with their City Council by attending public meetings, participating in public comment opportunities, and staying informed about city initiatives.

The City also extends its gratitude to outgoing Council Members Dan Sheppard, Tom Hayden, Richard Carr, Jessica Cosden, and Robert Welsh. Their commitment and dedication to serving the citizens of Cape Coral have left a lasting impact on our city.
