One vehicle was stolen by a friend of the victim. Seven have been recovered, five in Olympia, one in King County and one in Mason County. Flock was used in two of the cases. We had two mail thefts reported. One case was community mailboxes, and another was a USPS blue box. Checking your mail daily and not putting mail in blue boxes after the daily pick-up time are both ways to prevent mail theft. You can also sign up for Informed Delivery through USPS so you know what was stolen if your mailbox is targeted.

Thirteen vehicle prowls or vandalisms reported during the two-week period. Some of the property stolen included backpacks, laptops, a firearm, cell phone, jewelry, clothing and sports equipment. Five cases reported windows smashed and two cases reported leaving doors unlocked.
