Puzzle love from New York Times Games fans knows no bounds, especially when their favorite Games are transposed into printed games, perfect for cozy holiday solving.
Each December, New York Times Games puzzle editors reveal their most anticipated puzzles of the year in Puzzle Mania, the annual special section in the print edition of the Sunday paper. This follows months of preparation, including the creation of the beloved Super Mega Crossword, solved by many loved ones together across multiple days.
The growing fandom surrounding Puzzle Mania has solvers nationwide racing to purchase their copy the day it is published - and requesting more ways to find copies, as they disappear from newsstand shelves within hours. As a special surprise this year, New York Times Games is responding to fan requests by bringing Puzzle Mania far and wide, ensuring more fans can get a copy. Whether you solve at home, on the train, or at your favorite diner - it will be easier than ever to indulge in the comforts of games this season.

Puzzle Mania will publish sooner this year - December 1 - giving fans more time to kick off their annual holiday-solving traditions. For the first time since its debut, the section is available for preorder on The New York Times Store, ahead of sales starting December 1. Plus, if you purchase a Games subscription Nov. 25 - Dec. 2, you'll receive a code to order Puzzle Mania from the New York Times Store for free.
Additionally, in response to fan requests for more copies - New York Times Games is unleashing limited-supply, free Puzzle Mania copies far and wide, in a series of U.S. regions that showcase a passion for puzzling. Learn more below and watch for a Puzzle Mania drop near you.
