Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil October 24

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To help raise awareness, the League City Police Department is holding a candlelight vigil to honor survivors and families of domestic violence victims at the League City Police Department, 555 W Walker St, on Thursday, October 24 at 7 p.m. LCPD is accepting donations of hygiene products to provide to local domestic violence shelters.

To further recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Mayor Nick Long issued a proclamation in early October and presented it to Jessica Mullin from the Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County and to representatives of Bay Area Turning Point.
