Volunteers welcome for Family Volunteer Day

Family Volunteer Day is Saturday, November 23, and all families are invited to volunteer to assist in cleaning up two of our area parks.

On Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., families can join our Parks & Recreation team to help beautify Andy K. Wells Hike & Bike Trail (2201 East Veterans Memorial Boulevard) or Purser Heritage Hike & Bike Trail (8001 Pyrite Drive).

All ages are welcome, and it's a great way for families to spend meaningful time together.

Family Volunteer Day is a program of Points of Light, one of the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The day was organized in 1990 and is "a global celebration of the incredible impact families can make when they unite to support their communities and neighborhoods."
