Marcus & Millichap Arranges Sale of Four Property, 890 Unit Self Storage Portfolio in Illinois

CARBONDALE, Ill., Oct. 22, 2024 - Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of a four-property, 890-unit self-storage portfolio located in Carbondale, Illinois.

"Given the size of the portfolio and its current strong income, we attracted a good amount of attention during the marketing phase and received multiple offers from storage groups across the country," said Marla Čolić, first vice president investments.

Čolić, investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap's St. Louis office, procured the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. A regional storage investment group purchased the portfolio for an undisclosed amount. Steven Weinstock, Broker of Record in Illinois, assisted in closing the transaction.

The properties included in the portfolio are located at 710 E. Main Street, 1535 N. Reed Station Road, 707 E. College Street and 1295 Harmony Lane in Carbondale. The portfolio consists of 834 non-climate-controlled units, 56 climate-controlled units for a total of 890 units within 98,363 rentable square feet across 10.21 acres.
