The Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure Announces the Reappointment Evaluation of Associate Judge Marisa Demeo of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia

The Commission is pleased to open the public comment period for its evaluation of Associate Judge Marisa Demeo of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, who is a declared candidate for reappointment to a fifteen (15) year term as an Associate Judge upon the expiration of her current term on April 20, 2025.

The Commission invites members of the Bar, litigants, former jurors, interested organizations and members of the public to submit comments or any other information bearing on the performance and qualifications of Judge Demeo to continue her judicial service.

The cooperation of the community at an early stage will greatly aid the Commission in fulfilling its responsibilities. The identity of any person submitting materials will be kept confidential unless expressly authorized by the person submitting the information.

If the comments or information pertain to a specific case, the Commission requests the case be identified by the case caption and include the identification of any relevant hearing dates or pleadings.

Comments may be submitted by Wednesday, November 13, 2024:

  • By online survey on the Commission's website at Evaluation Survey link.
