HUD Releases Agency Financial Report and Achieves Fifth Consecutive Clean Audit

WASHINGTON - Today the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that the Agency Financial Report achieved a clean audit opinion for the fifth consecutive year. This exceptional accomplishment underscores HUD's steadfast commitment to financial transparency, accountability, and responsibly managing taxpayer dollars.

The Agency Financial Report highlights HUD's financial accomplishments and milestones for Fiscal Year 2024 and includes an Independent Auditor's report that covers internal control and compliance with laws and regulations.

During Fiscal Year 2024, HUD implemented several key improvements to internal controls and financial processes that not only addressed a previous Single Audit Act non-compliance but also enhanced overall efficiency and transparency. These significant improvements ensure the Agency's financial reporting accurately reflects HUD's operations and financial position.
