NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Sound Aviation LLC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35245

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: 60.12185°, -149.16158° on Godwin Glacier at approximately 3250ft elevation.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Township 001S, Range 002E, Section 06 Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The seasonal use of State land for a helicopter accessible dog sled camp to include one (1) aluminum shed on skis, six (6) plastic huts, one (1) outhouse, fifty (50) dog houses and five (5) small chests for misc. storage.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE: Start: March 1, 2025 End: September 30, 2029

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: November 8, 2024 The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
